NEW YORK — Ad technology company, Advertising.com, has appointed Doug McFarland, the former president of Jupiter Media Metrix’s measurement division, and Ken Evans, the former vice president of worldwide sales for ZDNet, to its executive team.

In the newly created post of president and general manager of publisher business, McFarland will direct Advertising.com’s publisher business, which currently has about 2,000 clients. He also will serve as the company’s senior executive in its New York office. Most recently, McFarland oversaw the Web measurement division at Jupiter Media Metrix in New York from 1997-2001.
