Target Marketing & Promotions and Internet systems engineering company LavaStorm recently sponsored the first annual LavaStorm FoosBowl Tournament to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Jimmy Fund.
Thirty-two teams representing various Bay State businesses, mainly from the Internet sector, competed at the New England Aquarium while more than 300 spectators cheered them on.
TheBitWarriors.com, a team from Virtech of Peabody, Mass., took home the trophy. Kevin Dalphonse and Bill Schaller were the winners.
LavaStorm, a client of Target Marketing, engaged the agency to oversee the event and handle on-site and promotional chores.
All told, the event raised $10,000 for the Jimmy Fund, which helps support Dana-Farber’s efforts to develop cancer therapies for children and adults.
