Finley Fills ACD Position at Merkley

NEW YORK Merkley Newman Harty & Partners has added Terry Finley as associate creative director.
Finley’s appointment came several weeks after the New York agency created the position for 10 senior staffers. Prior to mid-February, the shop had two executive creative directors and 30 creatives. Finley will assume the post on March 31, when he will begin working on the Mercedes-Benz and SBC accounts. He will also be responsible for mentoring junior staffers. Most recently, Finley, 36, was a creative director at Ogilvy & Mather in New York for two years. At Ogilvy, he worked on American Express Sports Sponsorship Properties, which included the U.S. Open, the National Basketball Association and the Tribeca Film Festival. Finley also worked at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Hal Riney & Partners, both in San Francisco. His account experience includes Miller Brewing, Nike, Saturn, Pacific Bell and Hewlett-Packard.
