In Final Year-End Address, Maurice Lévy Reveals That He’s Listing His Office on Airbnb

The Publicis CEO steps down early next year

Maurice Lévy, chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe, sat down one last time to deliver his annual address and wishes for the upcoming year. With his plans to step down in February 2017, Lévy also has an interesting offer for one lucky ad enthusiast out there thanks to a partnership with Airbnb—24 hours in his Paris office for the full "CEO experience."

Lévy typically gives a quirky address each year (last year the holding company created a series of fake, skippable ads staring Lévy) in which he lists some of the organization's wishes for the upcoming year. This year, in "What's Next Wishes," we see a group of movers coming into Lévy's office, presumably making room for his successor.

"Now more than ever we must continue to act as one, think as one and work for our clients as one in order to make them win and us to succeed," he says, as movers work away and one poor soul tries to lift his deceptively heavy "I'm The Boss" mug from Lévy's desk.

Naturally, Lévy looks back at some of the standout events from 2016 for Publicis Groupe, including the implementation of the "Power of One" and some big wins from Walmart and HP. He also touches on Publicis90, a initiative that funded 90 startups from around the world, and the holding company's first tech conference, Viva Technology Paris.

The best bit, however, comes at the end, when a note flashes across the screen that Lévy's empty office is now posted on Airbnb. Listed as "The top of the ad world" in Paris, France, the office fits two guests, has one bedroom with one bed and comes with all the essentials including heating, AC, breakfast and Wi-Fi.

One lucky winner will get the chance to spend 24 hours in Lévy's Champs Élysées office, which will include breakfast on a rooftop terrace overlooking the Arc de Triomphe, a leadership crash-course, a movie screening in a private theater and more. Anyone looking to enter needs to be over 18 years old and available Feb. 4-5.
