Fidelity Eyes 4 Finalists

NEW YORK Four finalists will be briefed on Wednesday in the review for Fidelity Investments’ estimated $75 million ad account, sources said. Moving forward are Omnicom Group’s BBDO and TBWA\Chiat\Day, both in New York, and Havas’ McKinney + Silver in Raleigh, N.C., sources said.

Incumbent Arnold in Boston, also a unit of Havas, was granted an automatic berth in the final round, the client has said previously.

Omnicom’s DDB and Havas’ Euro RSCG Partners, both New York, did not advance in the review, sources said.

The Boston-based client is scheduled to brief the remaining four agencies via conference calls, sources said. Fidelity executives will visit agencies the week of Jan. 5 for work sessions and final pitches will take place by the end of that month. A decision is expected in early February, sources said.

Client executives could not immediately be reached for comment.

New York consultancy Joanne Davis Consulting is managing the review. Davis could not be reached.
