FCBi Poaches Merkley’s Brad Kay

NEW YORK Foote Cone & Belding said it has hired Brad Kay for the new position of evp, managing director at its interactive arm, FCBi, effective immediately.

Kay will work closely with FCBi’s executive creative director Mach Arom and executive strategic director Hyo Yeon on integrated efforts, as well as with FCB Direct executive creative director Gary Scheiner and FCB New York chairman, chief creative Chris Becker.

The Interpublic Group shop has offices in 110 countries, and its clients include, S.C. Johnson, Motorola, Diet Coke, Beiersdorf and Kraft.

Kay, 35, reports to FCBi CEO Pam Larrick and FCB New York president and CEO Steve Centrillo. In a statement, Centrillo said, “The addition of Brad to the team will enable us to gain even more critical focus on growth opportunities with existing clients, and to really pursue new relationships that build our business.”

Kay was most recently at Omnicom Group’s Merkley and Partners in New York where he was evp, general manger for that shop’s interactive group. He worked on accounts including, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Pfizer, Novartis and Smith Barney.
