FCB Gets Kraft Cheese Brands From JWT

CHICAGO Kraft last month completed the shift of several cheese brands to Interpublic Group’s Foote Cone & Belding from WPP Group’s J. Walter Thompson, the client confirmed. Both agencies are Kraft roster shops.

FCB in Chicago added Kraft’s Natural Cheese line, which includes shredded varieties, Cracker Cuts, Cubes and Cracker Barrel brands, to its portfolio, a company representative said.

Glenview, Ill.-based Kraft spent about $4 million advertising those brands during the first 11 months of 2003, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

Kraft was “looking for fresh perspectives” on the brand, the rep said.

JWT continues to handle Kraft cheese brands including Singles and Philadelphia Cream Cheese, in addition to its other assignments for the company.
