FCB’s Javier Campopiano Takes Regional Creative Role at Saatchi

Becomes CCO of Latin America

Javier Campopiano, chief creative officer of FCB Garfinkel in New York, is returning to Saatchi & Saatchi as CCO of its Latin American operations as well as the agency’s multicultural unit, Conill, Saatchi confirmed.

Campopiano moved to FCB's New York office in February 2013 after serving as the regional creative director for the Interpublic Group shop's Latin American operations. Ads produced on his watch included the popular, downloadable Jamaican Bobsled Team reggae song, which was written to sync with the direction of the Sochi course.

Campopiano worked at Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi from April 2007 until January 2010, where he led the regional hub for Procter & Gamble’s Ariel detergent and Head & Shoulders shampoo. Campopiano, who was named executive creative director of Draftfcb Argentina in 2010, oversaw the country’s most-awarded agency at Cannes in 2012. (He was named regional creative director for Draftfcb in 2011.)

In Latin America, Campopiano is known for his work on FCB brands like Oreo, Citric, Banco Macro, +vision, Club Social, JVC, ZonaJobs, KY Gel, Compumundo and Piero.

In his new role, the creative leader assumes Latin America regional responsibilities previously handled by Pablo Del Campo, who, in March became Saatchi's worldwide creative director.
