Facebook went down for the second time in less than a week this afternoon, and brands—or brands' social managers—took to Twitter to post jokes.

This is the third time this month that the social network has been down. According to Venture Beat, Facebook didn't explain the outages on Sept. 17 and 24, but today, the social media site posted that it was experiencing a sitewide issue that caused the Facebook Graph API to be temporarily unavailable.

There's certainly something to be said for the sheer ad revenue lost every minute that Facebook is down—Facebook loses tens of thousands of dollars in ad revenue, as Tech Crunch pointed out—but there's also something to be said for a well-executed joke.
