BOSTON – Partners & Simons last week won the advertising account of Excel Switching Corp. in Hyannis, Mass., after an informal review.
Billings were not disclosed; there was no incumbent. Carat Freeman in Newton, Mass., will handle media buying chores, said Gib Trub, principal at Boston-based Partners.
Excel was won over by Partners’ telecommunications experience, said client representative Karyn Kuhn.
The company develops, manufactures and markets programmable switches that are used in the telecommunications industry. According to Trub, Excel’s products are currently used in networks in 60 countries.
A series of print ads aimed at managers of company networks will break next month, Trub said.
