Mason Lin, the former CEO for Euro RSCG China, has returned to join the agency as CEO for Greater China based in Shanghai.
David Jones, CEO for Havas Worldwide and Euro RSCG, said China is an exceptionally important market for them and it plays a key role in the network’s global growth strategy.
“We are very ambitious about our plans in this market and having the right leadership is key to our success,” he said.
Jones said Lin (pictured) is a star who grew the operations in China from literally one person to beyond expectations and it was always the company’s intention for him to rejoin the firm.
Lin will report to Olivier Pluquet, CEO for Euro RSCG Asia Pacific.
Pluquet explained the agency’s China strategy is clear — work with some of the country’s best domestic brands, hire China’s top talent and continue to leverage its global network based on a cohesive and integrated nature with digital at the core.
Before rejoining Euro RSCG, Lin spent the past three years with family in Canada. Prior to that, he was CEO for Euro RSCG China, responsible for overseeing operations on the mainland and developing strong relations with clients such as Dongfeng Peugeot.
Before Euro, Lin worked at JWT and McCann Worldgroup. He was also one of the founding members of China’s 4A’s association.
