Euro RSCG Unit Names CEO

NEW YORK Havas’ Euro RSCG continues to make management additions, hiring Jeff Brooks and Patrick Stern for senior positions at its digital marketing division.

Brooks, 36, becomes CEO of Euro RSCG 4D, overseeing operations in New York, Boston and Wilton, Conn. He had most recently been managing director of Omnicom Group’s Atmosphere BBDO.

Euro RSCG worldwide CEO David Jones said, “Jeff’s hire is one more example of our commitment to having a disproportionate share of the best talent in the industry. His enthusiasm is infectious, which, naturally, makes him a fantastic leader.” Brooks reports to Jones.

At Atmosphere BBDO here, Brooks played a key roll in winning major clients such as AOL, FedEx, the NFL and Target Stores. A representative at Atmosphere BBDO said Brooks would not be replaced; his duties will be absorbed by co-managing director Tarik Sedky and CEO Andreas Combuechen. Brooks has also worked at, a direct marketing and online retail company, where he was a senior vice president, and he has held senior positions at WPP Group’s Ogilvy & Mather and Grey.

Former Euro RSCG 4D CEO Charlie Tarzian resigned in April [Adweek Online, May 11].

Stern joins as executive creative director from Omnicom’s TBWA\Chiat\Day in Playa del Rey, Calif. He takes a new position at the company and reports to Brooks.

Euro RSCG 4D has handled assignments for clients such as Danone, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Novartis and Volvo, among others.

The additions of Brooks and Stern at the digital shop follow the appointment of Vanessa Barros as vp of business development for Euro RSCG in Europe, a new position [Adweek Online, Nov. 17]. She will also run the agency’s Kraft account and reports to Pierre Lecosse, CEO of Euro RSCG in Europe. She joined from the network’s London office, where she was global business director on its Reckitt-Benckiser business since 2002.
