Expanding its footprint in Asia, Havas’ Euro RSCG has won a review for the estimated $3-4 million ad account of children’s clothing brand Balabala.
The agency’s office in Shanghai will handle the business. “This win demonstrates our strong offering across multiple disciplines, including strategy and creative, as well as seamless team work,” said Edward Su, managing director of that outpost.
He added: “Not only do we have an intimate understanding of Chinese consumers, but we also have an in-depth understanding of Chinese enterprises and the environment in which they operate — which is a key attribute to developing strong, stable relationships in this market.”
The brand operates about 800 stores in the market.
In a broader sense, the win is important because it helps reinforce and strengthen the shop’s position in China, where it already handles assignments for brands such as Air France, Chivas, Jaguar, Reckitt-Benckier and Unilver.
Euro RSCG employs about 1,000 staffers in its China operations.
