Euro RSCG, Dan Part Ways

NEW YORK Havas’ Euro RSCG said Avi Dan, its first global executive director of new business, has left the agency.

Dan, 54, joined the shop in November 2005 and was based in New York.

Before that, he had been a managing partner, new business director at WPP Group’s Berlin Cameron United.

In the five years that Dan was at Berlin Cameron in New York, the agency won the Coke Classic, Pfizer’s Zyrtec, White Wave Silk Soy Milk, Pernod Ricard’s The Glenlivet, Samsung and The Wall Street Journal accounts.

A representative at Euro RSCG said there was a plan “for global new business going forward at the agency,” but he would not comment further on whether Dan would be replaced.

Efforts to reach Dan by phone were unsuccessful.

During his 18 months at the shop, Dan worked closely with Euro RSCG worldwide CEO David Jones and with the network’s regional directors and CEOs in its 233 offices.

During his advertising career, Dan has held management positions at Young & Rubicam, Saatchi & Saatchi and D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles. Accounts he has worked on include Procter & Gamble’s Crest, Pampers and Charmin brands and Colgate-Palmolive.

Euro RSCG’s global clients include Reckitt-Benckiser, LG Electronics, Airbus, Air France, Danone Group, LVMH Louis Vuitton, Jaguar, MCI, Polaroid and Peugeot Citroen.
