Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door Salons Seek Direct Agency

Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon and Spa is seeking an agency to reposition and modernize the beauty salon chain, according to sources. Kelly Weber, senior vice president of marketing, confirmed a search is under way to find a shop with strong database marketing capabilities to build new customer acquisition and loyalty programs.
Billings for the assignment are undisclosed. The Phoenix-based Red Door Salon has enlisted Elda Argenti of Argenti Corp. in Norwood, N.J., to assist in the search.
General advertising for Red Door salons is handled in-house at Elizabeth Arden, the licensor. The salon chain hopes to expand its day spa operation from six to 56 locations in North America and Europe over the next five years. –Sloane Lucas
