Michael Duda has been named chief executive officer at Johannes Leonardo, a new role at the WPP agency. The 42-year-old will share the top executive function with the creative boutique’s co-founders and CEOs Jan Jacobs, 43, and Leo Premutico, 35.
For the last three years, Duda was co-founder and managing partner of Consigliere Brand Capital, a marketing management consultancy and investment fund that advised start-ups and brands like Boston Beer Co., Chobani, Under Armour, Birchbox and Warby Parker. Previously, Duda spent over a decade at Deutsch, most recently as partner and chief corporate strategy officer. Earlier in his career, Duda was with Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners and Young & Rubicam.
Johannes Leonardo also hired Clemenger BBDO Melbourne creative directors Julian Schreiber and Tom Martin as executive creative directors.
Johannes Leonardo has worked with marketers including Coca-Cola, Chanel, Google and Nike. Last year, it resigned its U.S. Bacardi creative business after the rum maker called for a global review.
