NEW YORK David Droga has been named film and press jury president for the 2006 Cannes International Advertising Festival.

Droga, 37, is currently creating a joint venture with Publicis Groupe called Drogafive. The “brand ideas and entertainment laboratory” will open early next year in New York and Los Angeles.

Previously, Droga was worldwide creative director of the Publicis Network, overseeing campaigns for clients such as TBS and Heineken. Before that, he was executive creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi, working on Sony Europe among other accounts.
