DoubleClick Promotes 5, Hires 1

New York–DoubleClick Media has promoted five executives and hired another to bolster the management and sales team under Jeffrey Silverman. All will report to Silverman, vp and general manager of DoubleClick’s North American media business.

Andi Poch, recently hired from Phase2Media, was tapped to manage the media unit’s regional and national sales forces as vp of sales for North American Media. While at Phase2, she was svp of national sales. Bill Wise, vp of business development, has added the role of vp of direct marketing.

In addition to overseeing business development, he will manage of the company’s direct marketing clients including Capital One, Sprint and Columbia House.

Melissa Ashley has been named vp of sales development and publishing for North American Media, charged with the development of sales proposals, sponsorships and strategy for brand marketers. Prior to this, she was group publisher of DoubleClick Media’s Business and Technology Network.

Barrie Levitt Knee, newly minted vp of operations for North American Media, assumes responsibility for day-to-day operations including process and systems, sales training and product development. She previously was senior director of sales operations for US Media at DoubleClick.

The company also has hired Susan Leiterstein as senior director of East coast sales for DoubleClick Media. Leiterstein most recently was vp and network publisher for the Internet.com and Earthweb networks, where she built the salesforce, developed and implemented strategies for growing sales revenue and worked closely with major clients.

Erin Ross was promoted to head Midwest sales, assuming sales responsibility for the Midwest territory. She joined DoubleClick in July 1997 from Katz, where she helped set up Katz’s new media arm in Chicago.
