Dotglu Fills New President Post

NEW YORK — Steven Thibodeau today becomes president at Dotglu, the 3-month-old interactive and direct marketing agency of Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners.
Thibodeau, 35, comes to the 40-person shop from Scient Corp., which has 1,600 employees.

He had been managing director of its New York office since July.
In the newly created post, Thibodeau will collaborate with Dotglu CEO Tina Cohoe to oversee operations, drive creative work, and identify and generate new business.

New York-based Dotglu, formed last November when Kirshenbaum’s interactive agency and 8-year-old direct marketing agency combined, had been courting Thibodeau since its inception. “The ink had yet to dry on the Dotglu business plan when we started recruiting Steve,” said Cohoe.

Thibodeau said he was attracted to the privately held shop, which claims an estimated
$20 million in billings, because of its creative roots in the Kirshenbaum culture. He also had been speaking regularly with Cohoe during the last year and a half. “We are going to maintain the creative spirit instilled at Kirshenbaum and pull that through Dotglu,” said Thibodeau.

Before he joined Scient, Thibodeau was chief marketing liaison at Answerthink, working with clients such as IBM, Avon and Procter & Gamble. Prior to that, he was vp, global management supervisor at APL Digital, the interactive arm of the former Ammirati Puris Lintas.
