Doremus to Pitch Investors for UTC

NEW YORK United Technologies Corp. has chosen Doremus to create a $4 million advertising campaign aimed at potential investors, the client confirmed.

A contract has not yet been signed, but a representative for the Hartford, Conn.-based defense contractor said it chose the New York shop based on its strong relationship with the financial community.

Doremus was selected over co-finalists Mullen of Wenham, Mass., and Martin/Williams in Minneapolis following a five-month review. The client had said that it was looking for a U.S. agency to represent its brand to portfolio managers.

Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper in London created the company’s previous advertising, tagged “Next things first.”
