Michael Rutka, one of the lead creatives on Doner’s Mazda account, was hit by a car and killed Aug. 6 while jogging near his home. He was 45.
Rutka was a senior vice president and creative director at Doner’s Southfield, Mich., headquarters. He started his career as a copywriter at Doner, left to work at Leo Burnett in Chicago for two years, then returned to Doner in 1989.
Rutka’s creative credits include work for Coca-Cola, U.S.
