Dollars for Scholars From Game Show Net, BofA

NEW YORK The Game Show Network is teaming up with Bank of America on a promotion to help college students pay their tuition, the cable channel said.

Fourteen winners across the U.S. will be selected and awarded a total of $140,000 from the Get Schooled Tour, which launches on March 15. Sponsored by BofA’s Student Banking Group, the tour begins at the Sony Metreon in San Francisco and will feature raffles, prizes, interactive game demonstrations and on-site student financial aid information. Ads for the tour will run on radio, point-of-purchase, out-of-home and on GSN.

BofA representatives will provide participants with information about student loans and other aspects of the financial aid process at tour locations in cities including Dallas, Denver, Washington, D.C., Boston, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis, Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, San Francisco and Greenville/Spartanburg, S.C.

In each city, participants will submit entry forms, 10 of which will be randomly selected to participate in a quiz in order to advance to the next round.

Details about the contest and promotion can be found on www.gameshownetwork.com.

Sony Pictures Entertainment and Liberty Media Corp. are the co-owners of GSN, whose programming is devoted to TV game shows and interactive game playing.

In a statement, GSN svp of marketing Dena Kaplan said,”The Get Schooled Tour is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate GSN’s continued commitment to provide educational game entertainment to communities across America and also support local cable affiliates, Cable in the Classroom and our national advertising partners.”
