Apparel manufacturer Outer Banks has awarded its $2.5 million marketing account to Doggett Advertising.
The Leland, N.C.-based company specializes in imprint work, producing golf, resort and corporate apparel bearing company logos.
The business was put into review after the shirtmaker was acquired by the Sara Lee Corp. last December.
Charlotte, N.C.-based Doggett retained the business, which it has held since the clothier was founded in 1983, defeating an unnamed North Carolina agency.
“The other agency was at a huge 17-year disadvantage,” said Don Moseley, Outer Banks’ vice president for merchandising services.
