Dimeo Minors In Baseball

iMeo & Co. has a minor league baseball team as a new client. Chicago Cubs fans may claim the agency is perfectly suited to minor-league ball after handling the Chicago White Sox for nine years.
DiMeo, which parted with the Sox this summer, will be back in the game next year as agency of record for the Schaumburg (Ill.) Flyers, which will play their inaugural season in the independent Northern League.
Former Sox slugger Ron Kittle will be the Flyers’ manager. “We’ll do a lot with him. He has great presence,” said agency president Bernie DiMeo. TV, radio, print and direct marketing will be launched in the weeks leading up to the team’s first game on May 28.
Meanwhile, DiMeo said his agency has a new campaign for the Chicago Bulls, another of its clients, ready and waiting for if and when the National Basketball Association season begins.
New TV spots will continue the “Most valuable ticket in town” theme since, lockout or not, the Bulls’ season already is a sellout.
The Schaumburg Flyers may wish they had such problems.
