NEW YORK Bacardi has whittled the list of agencies competing for its $20 million Grey Goose account to two New York independents: DeVito/Verdi and Sugartown Creative, sources said.

Sugartown Creative handles Bacardi’s Bombay Sapphire gin, while DeVito/Verdi created TV spots for Grey Goose vodka when it was still owned by Sidney Frank Importing.

Cut from contention were WPP Group’s Ogilvy & Mather and MDC Partners’ kirshenbaum bond + partners.

The next steps in the review could not be determined.
