Deutsch Hires Black, Promotes 2 Creatives

NEW YORK Deutsch has named three svps, group creative directors, the agency said.

Bryan Black, 35, was most recently creative director of Deutsch’s dRush. He left in 2000 to become a freelance creative director for BBDO; Foote, Cone & Belding; Young & Rubicam and Deutsch, among others, working with clients that included Visa, Snickers and Coca-Cola. Black reports to Kathy Delaney, managing partner and executive creative director of Deutsch in New York; he will work on the Monster.com account, which the agency won in July, following a review.

Scott Bassen, 32, and David Rosen, 33, had been vps, associate creative directors at the shop, working on accounts such as Snapple, Elements and Sour Patch Kids, as well as handling some new-business initiatives. They have been partners for 10 years. Before joining Deutsch in 1999, the two worked on the Burger King account at Ammirati Puris Lintas in New York. Bassen and Rosen also report to Delaney.
