CHICAGO – A number of Chicago agencies received a visit last week from Cody Engle, chairman of Delta Queen Steamboat Co., New Orleans, for a possible shot at the company’s American Hawaii Cruise Lines business based in San Francisco. The account, now handled by J. Walter Thompson/S.F., is worth an estimated $6-8 million. Agencies were not told about the nature of the account until after the credentials presentation was completed, sources said. Chicago shops were included because Engle keeps an office here.
