CHICAGO DDB here has laid off less than 5 percent of its staff, citing the need to align revenue with costs, according to an agency representative.

The representative would not give official numbers, but the shop employs roughly 560 people. Sources estimated the loss at about 25 employees.

The cuts affect all departments, the representative said. The Chicago agency counts McDonald’s Corp. and Anheuser-Busch among its clients, but lost Tyson Foods’ $40 million account in March and in January resigned the Illinois Lottery’s $20 million account.
