Laurie Davis, longtime owner of Davis Media Group in Baltimore, has been appointed senior vice president and media director of Gray, Kirk Vansant Advertising and Public Relations, also based in Baltimore.
Davis will supervise 13 staff members in GKV’s media department. She will retain ownership of her independent buying service, which has not become affiliated with GKV. Elaine Yakos-LeBron has been hired as general manager and media supervisor of DMG, and will oversee its eight employees.
‘This is a very unique situation,’ said Davis. ‘It gives both companies tremendous flexibility.’ The executive has run the media group for nine years.
‘Laurie and I have worked together before and I am constantly impressed by her drive and knowledge,’ said GKV principal Roger Gray. ‘I know she will be an asset to this agency.’
