Davies Redesigns Hospitals’ Web Site

ATLANTA Davies New Media recently redesigned the Web site of Bon Secours Richmond Health System, the shop said.

The Richmond, Va., agency teamed with local freelance copywriter Anne Moss Rogers and Jody Challen, administrative director for the client, to develop and upgrade the Internet site, which has more than 300 pages. David Hunter, graphic designer at DNM, said the project was one of the most difficult he has ever completed.

“Careful construction and organization is extremely important when designing such a complex and comprehensive site,” noted Hunter. “The new site is easy to navigate, bright and has a unique design that conveys the feeling of the hospitals.”

The focus of the online venue was to be user-friendly for patients, doctors and other potential visitors, Hunter added. No stock photography was used, and the client was involved during each stage of the development process.

The site (www.bonsecours.com) features the system’s “Complete health” tagline and information about the network’s three existing facilities in Richmond: St. Mary’s Hospital, Memorial Regional Medical Center and Richmond Community Hospital. Construction updates are provided for the St. Francis Medical Center, slated to open in 2005, the shop said.
