Beer importer Gambrinus has expanded its agency roster, choosing two more promotions shops.
Davidson Marketing in Chicago won two brands, Moosehead and Pete’s Wicked Ale, from the San Antonio, Texas-based distributor. The shop in the last year had lost the Old Style and Lone Star beer accounts as a result of the breakup of Stroh’s.
“It’s a dry spell that’s been broken,” said Phil Loftus, group management supervisor.
Gambrinus gave its Modelo and Shiner Boch beer products, which include Corona Extra, Corona Light and Modelo Especial, to Optimum Group in Cincinnati.
The agencies will join Promotion Network, Dallas, on work for spring 2000 promotions, said Ron Christesson, Gambrinus’ marketing director.
