CumminsNitro Brisbane Takes ‘Best in Show’ at Mixx

The Australian agency CumminsNitro Brisbane nabbed ‘Best in Show’ honors at the 2009 Mixx awards for their international campaign for Tourism Queensland titled “The Best Job in the World.”

CumminsNitro Brisbane was far and and away the big winner on Tuesday night (Sept. 22), as the agency also was honored in the direct response/lead generation, social marketing and cross media integration categories for the Tourism Queensland campaign, which promoted travel to the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef.

Other winners of note from the Mixx show included the agencies Campfire and Deep Focus, which were both honored for their work on HBO’s True Blood promotional campaign, and RAPP, which was awarded ‘gold’ honors in the brand awareness category for its campaign for the Travel Channel dubbed ‘Kidnap!’

In addition, the agency Covario took top honors in the search marketing category for its execution of a product launch effort for Adobe Systems Incorporated, while Kraft Foods was recognized in the mobile category for its “Kraft iFood Assistant” application, built by the agency Genex.
