BOSTON Joan Cumming has joined marketing shop LaPlaca Cohen as managing director; she is tasked with launching and managing the company’s Los Angeles office in January.
Her experience with marketing in the world of the arts was a key reason she was hired, said Arthur Cohen, agency principal and strategy director, in a statement. Previously, she had been director of marketing and communications at the L.A. Philharmonic Association. Cumming also has held positions publicizing the L.A.
