Culver’s Moves to Marc for Creative, Media

CHICAGO Marc USA in Chicago has added Culver’s restaurant chain for creative, media and public-relations chores following a review.

The client spent about $8 million last year in measured media and $6 million through the first three quarters of 2007, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

“Marc USA delivered a big, branded creative concept supported with outstanding passion and commitment,” said Chris Contino, Culver’s vp, marketing. The client is based in Sauk City, Wis., and operates 370 locations in 16 states, with an expansion into Arizona planned for 2008.

Incumbent Jacobson Rost in Chicago declined to participate in the review process. Cramer-Krasselt, McClain Finlon and BVK all pursued the business.

Marc’s work for Culver’s will bow in the spring with TV, radio, print, online and outdoor efforts in the mix.

Independent Marc is headquartered in Pittsburgh and also has offices in Dallas, Indianapolis, Miami and Toronto. Other clients include Rite Aid, True Value and Moen.
