Cronin Tops Conn. Ad Club Awards

BOSTON Cronin & Co. won best-of-show honors at the 49th annual Ad Club of Connecticut Awards. The Glastonbury, Conn., independent was honored for “Like Being Me,” a TV spot created on behalf of the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

The awards presentation was held on Wednesday night at the Cromwell Radisson in Cromwell, Conn. WFSB-TV anchors Dennis House and Kara Sundlun, hosted the show.

Two special prizes were also given out. Mintz & Hoke, Avon, Conn., was honored for best copywriting for a PSA called “Wacko Wand,” produced for nonprofit mental-illness support group Advocacy Limited.
