Creative Partners Preps Ads for Skip Barber

BOSTON Creative Partners is preparing to break a $1 million campaign for Skip Barber, a company that operates driving and racing schools nationwide. “Throw life some curves” is the tagline.

Print executions roll out in June issues of magazines such as Car & Driver, Road & Track and Sports Illustrated. The ads use suggestive copy to refer to cars and racing, such as one effort that begins: “I’m having an affair. She weighs over 1,100 pounds.”

The ads are designed to build enrollment in the Lakeville, Conn.-based client’s instructional programs.

Radio and direct mail elements, as well as a 30-second television spot that will run on the Speed Channel, are also in the media mix.

Stamford, Conn.-based Creative Partners is an independent shop with about $10 million in billings and 15 employees.
