Consultants Launch In-House Agency Forum

BOSTON Consultancy Pile and Co. and its Communications Collaborative freelance staffing division have launched the In-House Agency Forum, a professional membership organization that supports the directors and managers of in-house marketing agencies.

“We believe that the increasing complexities in the marketing communications world are requiring the in-house agency to play an even more integral role in go-to-market programming” said Chris Colbert, managing partner of Pile and Co. here.

Colbert is overseeing the initiative; a dedicated staff has yet to be hired.

The goal is to provide in-house agencies with “a dedicated professional venue” to share and gain knowledge,” Colbert said.

The In-House Agency Forum will conduct conferences and benchmarking studies, as well as provide publications, training and educational programs.

The forum’s board of directors includes senior in-house agency executives from BJ’s Wholesale Club, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CVS, Monster.com, MFS, Putnam Investments and TJX Cos.

The next In-House Agency Forum conference is scheduled for May 19 at the Boston Harbor Hotel. This will make the group’s second meeting following a formative get-together late las year, Colbert said.
