Jack Connors has no desire to pursue a deal with Houston Herstek Favat, the chief executive officer of Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos said last week.





Hill, Holliday had been identified by industry sources as interested in pursuing a bid on its ailing rival (Adweek, June 16).





‘Nothing could be further from the truth,’ Connors said.





Speculation on the fate of the Boston agency, founded eight years ago by Doug Houston, has run high in recent weeks. The shop has lost almost $100 million in billings from such accounts as NEC Technologies, Fidelity Investments and the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism.
