Connelly Wins Stonyfield Farms

BOSTOn—Connelly Partners/CGN has picked up ad chores for Stonyfield Farms Yogurt.

The budget is expected to be about $4 million, said agency principal Steve Connelly.

Stonyfield represents the first major agency win since it was formed by the merger of CGN Mar keting and Creative Services and Connelly Partners [Adweek, Sept. 9].

The Boston shop bested several undisclosed agencies in a review.

“It’s a nice fit for what we’ve been doing, which is marketing aimed at women, especially mothers,” Connelly said, citing the agency’s work with Garelick Farms.

Connelly said he was excited by the prospect of working for a “passion brand,” similar to the likes of Ben & Jerry’s and Apple. “Those are the brands people get jazzed about—they tend to have a loyal, passionate following,” he said.

The agency has begun work on a campaign that will break in the spring. TV, print and radio are all likely com ponents, Connelly said. Media is handled by Carat Freeman in Newton, Mass.

Previously, Stonyfield’s advertising was created by eFlicks Media in Boston. That agency’s most recent campaign carried the tagline, “Yogurt on a mission,” touting the client’s all-natural ingredients.
