NuVision Optical in Flint, Mich., has suspended an agency review for its $3 million advertising account, currently handled in-house, according to sources.
NuVision had nearly completed the review when it put the process on hold. Finalists had been chosen out of an initial pool of five agencies. BK&M in Ann Arbor, Mich., and Kolon, Bittker & Desmond of Troy, Mich., were named finalists, prevailing over several other Michigan agencies contacted by the retailer in early May.
The optical retailer is owned by American Vision Centers, which is being purchased by Cole National Corp.
