If you’ve always fantasized about enjoying an opera under the stars, now you can.

Liquid Fire has launched a marketing campaign touting the Boston Lyric Opera’s Carmen on the Common, an outdoor production of George Bizet’s famed operaset in Spain.

A black-and-red illustration of Carmen, the opera’s passionate heroine, is featured in print ads, street-lamp banners and transit executions, which are running Boston.

“So hot, we took it outside” is the tagline.

“We felt it critical to position Carmen on the Common as an event, rather than an opera,” said Wayne Fritsche, partner and account manager at the Boston shop.
