Colangelo Joins Arc Marketing

Robin Colangelo’s experience working in a variety of media, including TV, corporate videos and CD-ROMs, should be the right mix for her new job as vp of creative operations at Arc Marketing.

In the new post, Colangelo will oversee production of marketing materials. The Greenwich, Conn.-based agency counts Clairol, Kellogg Co. and UPS among its clients.

Arc’s services include direct marketing, promotions and event marketing; in the past year, it has also created Web sites for Kellogg’s Keebler division. Now, Colangelo hopes to bolster the shop’s interactive offerings.

“We have the capability to expand in the future, looking at it as a potential revenue source,” said Colangelo, who has a certificate in commercial art from the Connecticut Institute of Art.

Colangelo, who grew up in Westchester County, N.Y., reports to Angela Vecchio, svp, executive creative director. In addition to her production duties, Colangelo will help coordinate marketing efforts between Arc and Publicis Groupe siblings such as Publicis in New York and Leo Burnett in Chicago.

Arc CEO Caren Berlin described Colangelo as “energetic, collaborative and resourceful.

“There’s so much new business with Arc and with sister Publicis agencies, and everything’s getting more sophisticated in terms of what clients want,” said Berlin. (Arc has won new assignments this year for Sony Ericsson, T-Mobile and FluMist, among others.)

Before joining Arc, Colangelo spent six and a half years at Ryan Partnership in Wilton, Conn., handling production of TV spots, CD-ROMs and other media. Outside of work, she engages in a different form of creative activity: decorating her house and garden.

Arc has about 100 staffers at its Greenwich office. It also has outposts in Atlanta and Detroit.
