Coffee Klatsch For S.E. Shops

Three regional agencies have emerged as finalists for the Southeastern portion of Starbucks Coffee’s promotions and public relations business. Billings are estimated at $800,000.
Atlanta shops Pringle Dixon Pringle and Tausche Martin Lonsdorf have made the finals, along with Price/McNabb in Charlotte, N.C., which handles some work for the client in that market. Those shops were confirmed by sources close to the review.
The trio of agencies will travel to make their final pitches to the client at its Seattle headquarters in early November. A decision is expected to follow shortly thereafter.
The account will consist primarily of local store promotions, co-op advertising and public relations. Starbucks’ relationship with its national agency, BBDO West in Los Angeles, will not be affected. -Jim Osterman
