The man who helped put Jesse Ventura in the Minnesota governor’s office will now teach young politicos how to work similar magic.

Minneapolis adman Bill Hillsman, who created a controversial TV spot last year aping Mastercard’s “Priceless” theme for Green Party candidate Ralph Nader, will spend this spring semester as a fellow at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government Institute of Politics. He will lead weekly student discus sions and ruminate on the general state of politics with peers.

In becoming a fellow, Hillsman joins a list of notables, including former defense secretary William Cohen, onetime vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro and Al Gore, whose presidential bid failed in part because of Nader’s presence on Florida’s infamous butterfly ballot.

“I feel honored to be included in such a distinguished group of professionals,” Hillsman said in a statement. “After [my] work for Ralph Nader in the 2000 presidential election, I never imagined my name would find its way into a group that includes Al Gore.”
