Clarian Health Partners, Indiana’s largest hospital system, awarded its advertising account to Bates USA/Midwest following a review.

The Indianapolis shop bested about a dozen agencies for the account, which was handled on a project basis by several shops, said Emile Godfrey, Clarian’s director of marketing. Billings for the account were not disclosed.

Bates will provide a corporate brand strategy and advertising campaign for Clarian. In the past, the hospital system has focused on local corporate sponsorships, Godfrey said.

Clarian Health comprises Methodist Hospital, Indiana University Hospital and Riley Hospital for Children, all based in Indianapolis.
