Cheil USA, the Ridgefield Park, N.J.-based North American regional headquarters of South Korean marketing firm Cheil Worldwide, said Timothy Bruns has been named executive creative director. He will oversee efforts for the company in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. With more than 20 years of experience, Bruns has held senior positions at TBWA\Chiat\Day, Atmosphere BBDO and Avenue A/Razorfish. Most recently, he was with Draftfcb as evp, ecd, spearheading the digital discipline for all accounts, including CA, Hampton Inn, HP, Jamaica Tourism, MetLife, Motorola and Reliant. Michael Kim, president of Cheil USA, said: “North America is an important market in Cheil’s expansion strategy, and Timothy will be pivotal in leading our creative initiatives here on all fronts. His expertise in both digital and traditional marketing will be an enormous addition to our creative team.” He fills a new position, the agency said.
