Celestial Seasonings Signs Up TDA

BOSTON Celestial Seasonings has hired independent TDA Advertising & Design following a review, the agency said.

TDA’s first work for the client, a unit of Hain Celestial Group in Melville, N.Y., is slated to break in October. Print, outdoor, in-store and online elements will be in the mix.

TDA cd Jonathan Schoenberg said, “This is a brand I’ve wanted to work on since I came to Colorado from New York. There is so much potential.”

Other review contenders, as well as the media budget, were not disclosed. The client, a purveyor of natural herbal teas, spent $1.5 million on ads last year, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus. Spending so far in 2007 is about $700,000, on pace to match the year-ago outlay. The account had previously been handled in-house.

Boulder, Colo.-based TDA claims $25 million in overall billings and its other clients include Chipotle Mexican Grill, General Electric and Titus Bicycles.
