Cashin Joins Coyne Beahm

Coyne Beahm Advertising has named Chris Ng Cashin vice president, management supervisor. Cashin comes to the Greensboro, N.C., shop from West & Vaughan in Durham, N.C., where he was senior vice president, general manager and partner. During his W&V tenure, he helped attract 11 new accounts while serving as the shop’s director of account planning. Ericsson, Washington Duke Inn, Cardinal Health and Central Carolina Bank were among those accounts. Previously, he worked at Leo Burnett in Chicago. Cashin, 35, fluent in Mandarin Chinese, will be instrumental in Coyne Beahm’s development of business in China and the Far East, said agency president and CEO Roger Beahm, who has made 15 trips to Asia since 1999. The shop has secured assignments from the Chinese government for a financial conference in Liaoning Province in 2003, and will provide strategic counsel to entrepreneurs as China moves toward a free-market economy, according to Beahm. Additionally, Cindy Thompson, formerly CFO, has been named vice president, general manager, a new position. Thompson will handle the agency’s existing clients such as Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse, R.J. Reynolds’ Doral brand and Thomasville Furniture.
