Carmichael Lynch Adds More of MasterBrand

CHICAGO Cabinet manufacturer MasterBrand has awarded additional business to Interpublic Group’s Carmichael Lynch, based on the agency’s previous work on the company’s Diamond line, according to the shop.

“When we took on Diamond Cabinets in 2003, we knew we would do work that would be surprising and effective,” said Roman Paluta, chief marketing officer of the Minneapolis agency, in a statement. “And we believed great success with Diamond could lead to this kind of increased commitment from MasterBrand.”

With the additional assignment, CL will handle the company’s Aristokraft, Schrock, Kemper and Thomasville cabinet lines. (The latter is under license to The Home Depot from Thomasville Furniture Industries.)

Billings on the additional assignment were not disclosed. The Jasper, Ind., company, a subsidiary of Lincolnshire, Ill.-based Fortune Brands, spent less than $1 million on advertising last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
