LOS ANGELES–Ogilvy & Mather has elevated Dan Burrier, executive group creative director in its New York office, to lead creative in its Culver City, Calif., office and is transitioning creative on the $150 million global Motorola account out West, the agency said.

Burrier, 43, becomes chief creative officer here. He replaces Joe McDonagh, who departed Ogilvy at the end of last month.

“The breadth of his experience, the accomplishments he’s made and the reputation he’s built made this a no-brainer,” Ogilvy LA co-president Rick Roth said of Burrier.
